Hello! My name is Claire Hentges and I teach fourth grade at Norway Intermediate School. This is my third year of teaching and my first in fourth grade. I live in Cedar Rapids with my husband, two kids, and two doodles. Happy Holidays!!

7th Grade Boys: There will be a meeting for all 7th grade boys planning on going out for basketball during 5th period TOMORROW in Mr. Albers’ room. Please see Mr. Albers ahead of time if you cannot make it.

Seniors: TOMORROW a representative from BSF (Benton Scholarship Foundation) will be here to show you how to apply. They will be in the auditorium during the Advisor period which is from 10:57 to 11:27. Last year this foundation gave over $97,000 in scholarship money to our students. Attendance for students pursuing college is expected.

Benton Community and Central Lutheran will be on a 2 hour late start today, Wednesday, December 7th. No early dismissal today.

I am currently in my 27th year of teaching at Benton Community. I began teaching at the Norway building in 1995 and then moved over to the Atkins building to teach kindergarten when sections were relocated. Now that our three children are all grown, my husband and I enjoy going to Iowa basketball games and spending time with our Bernese mountain dog, Tanner.

This is my 16th year teaching at Benton Community School District. I taught Kindergarten my first two years and have spent the last 14 years as a first grade teacher. I enjoy gardening, kayaking, camping, and being outdoors. I live in Cedar Rapids with my husband Wes, and sons Henry (5) and Levi (1). My son Henry and I love being a Benton Bobcat!
