Jordan Meyer

Our classroom offers a dynamic space for students to investigate the principles of heredity and genetics. Through interactive lessons, we explore how traits are inherited and expressed. Activities such as Punnett squares and genealogy charts allow students to visualize patterns of inheritance and predict genetic outcomes.

One of the highlights of our genetics unit is a lab activity where students have the unique opportunity to determine their own blood types. With the aid of Mr. Meyer, students use blood-typing kits to analyze samples and identify the presence of A, B, AB, or O blood groups along with Rh factors. This interactive lab not only allows students to apply their knowledge of genetics in a practical setting but also sparks curiosity about inheritance patterns and the role of antigens. Through this experiment, students deepen their understanding of genetic variation and come away with a greater appreciation for the science that shapes who we are.
