Kylie O'Leary

Mrs. O’Leary’s science class has been hard at work this semester with students working through three big units: Electromagnetic Forces, Populations and Ecosystems, and Planetary Science. Each unit came with a unique set of challenges that students were excited to explore. Some favorites were creating circuits and electromagnets, playing the food chain game to simulate ecosystems (pictures below), and creating stories of lunar myths.

These 7th graders have been learning a lot about teamwork and what it means to be a scientist in today’s world. We focus on finding credible sources and working together to come up with creative solutions to problems. We have explored scientific literature through reading and our own writing and how math plays an important role in science. Students have done great working through tricky problems and exciting experiments this semester. Way to go 7th grade Bobcats!
