The Benton Robotic teams were thrilled to attend the FTC 2024 Kickoff event held at Prairie High School on September 7th, 2024. This annual gathering marked the official start of the new FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) competition season. Students were excited to get a glimpse of the new game.

Benton students participated in a series of workshops led by other teams, FTC mentors and alumni. These interactive sessions delved into the latest design techniques, programming innovations, and competition strategies, equipping teams with the knowledge and skills they would need to tackle the upcoming challenges.

At the end of the event, the moment of truth arrived - all FTC teams worldwide watched the unveiling of the new game simultaneously. The Benton students learned the details of the game's objectives, field elements, and scoring mechanisms. This synchronous reveal ensured that every team had an equal opportunity to strategize and begin the process of designing their robots to conquer the new challenges. The Benton Robotics teams left the event with new ideas excited to begin the new season.
