Can you solve the puzzle and find your way out? That is the question that Chemistry students have worked to answer several times this year. Escape Room activities have been a new addition to the curriculum that students have really enjoyed. In these activities, students work through a series of levels to unravel the code to escape. Each of these activities is centered around a core topic we are learning about. As they progress, the rigor advances from simple questions to more advanced application and problems solving. The escape room activities have provided a new way for students to collaborate and develop communication, teamwork and problems solving skills while still engaging in rigorous and relevant content. The topics have included Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Stoichiometry and more!
