What a blast we had on the Saturday February 26, competition for BC Show Choirs! First of all, can we stop and appreciate being able to go to all these in person events again and see LIVE music!! Jubi got 2nd place in the prep division, Cel co won the 3A division and were 4th overall in the finals (behind three fantastic 4A groups!) Our awesome crew was also awarded “Outstanding Crew” for the 2nd week in a row! We love our band and crew!! Thanks everyone for a terrific day! Photos and post details courtesy of John Hayden

Congrats to Illusions Friday February 25, at the Marion competition! They placed 4th and had a great performance! Their vocal ranks for 3 judges were 1st, 3rd and 4th. Their visual ranks were 1st, 4th and 4th. They were 2nd in the performance category! This means one judge had them winning the competition! Wonderful improvements!!

Please review the following updates from the Benton Community School District: School is canceled for next Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Our Girls Basketball team will be playing at the State Tournament in Des Moines at 11:45 a.m. against Dallas Center-Grimes. Many of our students and staff members are planning to attend and support our team and school. Go Bobcats! Information will be forthcoming about tickets, pep buses, game time, etc... Central Lutheran will be in session for school on Tuesday, March 1. Please contact Mr. Frank Parris if you have any questions. Spring break will remain as scheduled on our calendar (no school March 23-25) April 15 will remain as scheduled: No school day Decisions on school makeup days due to snow, ice and other missed days will be determined mid-March after most of the winter months have passed. We will add school days to the end of the year. At this time, we do not know exactly how many. Please stay tuned for this information sometime later in March.
