THE BENTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT IS SEEKING AN ASSOCIATE / PARA - FOR OUR NORWAY INTERMEDIATE CENTER
THIS POSITION WILL ASSIST THE DISTRICT LIBRARY/MEDIA TEACHER IN THE OPERATION OF THE LIBRARY/MEDIA CENTER AND PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF IN THE LIBRARY/MEDIA CENTER AS WELL AS DIRECT WORK TO SUPPORT OUR FOOD SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
Daily schedule will be designed and assigned by the building principal and the food service director.
Approximate weekly hours - 32.2
Library (General Education) Associate wage rate - $12.70 / hr. for 1st 90 days.
After probationary period - wage rate changes to $12.95/hr.
Food Service wage rate - $15.72/hr.
EXAMPLE WEEKLY *SCHEDULE
7:15-8:30 Food Service
8:30-10:30 library associate
10:30-12:30 Food Service
Tu/Th 12:30-3:30 library associate
Food Service: 3.25 hrs/day, 16.25 hrs per week
Library Associate: 2 or 5 hours per day, 16 hours per week

Benton had five hits in the first contest. Emma Townsley was 1 for 3. Alyse Harvey was 1 for 3 with a double. Jaida Lyons was 2 for 3 with two doubles. Jessa DeMoss was 1 for 3 with one RBI. The team had two errors. Katelyn Buscher threw for 5 1/3 innings, allowed 12 hits, eight runs, five earned runs, walked two and struck out two. She took the loss. DeMoss threw for 1 2/3 innings, allowed on hit, no runs and struck out one.

Benton narrowly lost the second game, 6-5. The team had seven hits. Townsley was 1 for 3. Sarah Gorkow was 2 for 3. Gabby McKee was 1 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs. Buscher was 1 for 3. Brielle Hogan was 2 for 4 with a double. the team had one error. DeMoss took the loss, throwing for 3 1/3 innings, allowing two hits, two earned runs and striking out one. Hope Moore threw for four innings, allowed nine hits, four earned runs, walked one and struck out four. Buscher threw for two-thirds of an inning, and allowed one hit.

Benton hosted Waverly-Shell Rock on Friday, June 11, at home, winning 11-0 in non-conference action. Benton had 12 hits. Townsley was 1 for 1. Harvey was 3 for 4 with one RBI. Greiner had one RBI. Glawe was 3 for 3 with three RBIs and one double. Moore was 1 for 3 with two RBIs. Lyons was 1 for 2 with one RBI. Hogan was 1 for 2 with a double. Brooke DeRycke was 1 for 2. McKee was 1 for 1 with a double and one RBI. Benton had four errors. DeMoss a freshman, was the winning pitcher, allowing no hits, walking no one and striking out four.
The Benton Community School District (BCSD) is seeking a nurse (can be certified LPN, RN, or BSN) to assist a student. This position is for 1 day a week (Fridays). Substitute options could also be available throughout the school year.
LPN, RN, or BSN nursing license required. This position is part-time, 1 day a week, and only when school is in session on Fridays.
