What did you do for Cinco de Mayo? 6 HS Benton students traveled to Atkins Elementary to teach 1st graders some food vocabulary. It was great to see our HS and Elementary Bobcats learn together!

Coach's Travis Dirks' comments:
Today the girls competed at the WaMaC West Divisional tournament at Tama Toledo Country Club. The Benton girls finished in third place with a team score of 204. Maddy Wolf shot a personal best of 46 to take 3rd place honors as an individual.
The girls played really well today overall. Early on they had to shake some cobwebs off, but they got rolling after a few holes. I am very proud of their fight and never give up attitude. It is very easy to carry over bad holes, but when we live by the motto think like a goldfish, you have to forget the last hole and move onto the next hole and the next shot. Our scoring overall is becoming more consistent and that allows us to compete night in a night out with some of the best teams this conference has to offer.
As you can see from the team scores, this conference is really close. So it is important that we continue to work hard and put in the time and effort needed to continue to be successful.
