"As a newcomer this year, I chose Benton because I was excited to officially become a part of this wonderful community. While living in the community for the last several years, I have seen and felt how amazing, caring and welcoming the people are. I feel so fortunate to be able to spend my days in the same community where my kids are growing up as Bobcats!"

"My favorite thing about being a Bobcat is the pride that students, staff, families, and community members have in being a Bobcat. The events at Benton, especially Homecoming and Veteran’s Day, where the district all comes together are some of my favorites. I am so glad we chose Benton for our family!"

Benton Community has one of the lowest tax levy rates in Iowa. BC has the lowest rate within our immediate area. Even with a levy increase with the VPPEL, Benton Community would continue to have the lowest rate in the area.

There are tax calculators that help estimate the impact of the VPPEL on your property tax. They take pieces like the state property roll-backs into consideration. Want to get an estimate for your property? Our team at Central Office can help with that! Benton CSD Central Office 319-228-8701, x-1503
