Alison NIchols, Instructional Coach, Norway Intermedaite
The new outdoor education space is the result of a few years of planning and collaboration of current and former educators at Norway. Many students, staff members, and families stepped up to volunteer their time and equipment this summer to turn the space into a place that supports a wide range of goals. This outdoor setting was renovated to boost student motivation and engagement, and to create an open-air setting ideal for group discussions, teacher or student-led lessons, and independent learning. This new space represents our commitment to providing a well-rounded education by creating a place where students can connect with nature, collaborate with their peers, and engage in another avenue to apply their learning.
