On Tuesday, April 25, Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird announced a partnership with the National Child Identification program. This program will provide all students k-12 with an ID kit to be used in the event of a missing child. This will allow parents to store a kit containing their children’s fingerprints, DNA, and photograph. This kit could be an effective tool to expedite law enforcement investigations and help keep our children safe.

Benton Community School District will be sending home an ID Kit with each of our students next week (May 1-5). Families can complete the kit if they would like to, return to the school if the family does not want to use the ID Kit or throw away the ID Kit. The ID Kit is pictured below.
