We want to remind our students and families of the importance of regular school attendance. When students miss school, they miss important instructional time that can’t be replaced. In fact, missing 10% or more of the school year (18+ days a year) can put students at risk of academic failure. Research shows they are less likely to read proficiently and graduate from high school. For our students to succeed, they need to be at school. Help your student get to school every day so that they can stay engaged, successful, and on track to graduate. BC High School Student Council is hosting a Toy Drive December 1st through December 12th. Donations can be dropped off at the MS/HS daily or at the basketball games on Dec. 5th and Dec. 11th.

Why Benton? "I chose to teach at Benton because of the small town atmosphere, where students and parents are encouraged to be active and involved. On top of that, Benton has numerous options available for our students, whether it be sports, the fine arts or clubs. Many of our students are involved in multiple activities, sometimes several in one season. All of this really bolsters the sense of community."

The Benton Community Post-Secondary & Community Services Resource Fair was a great opportunity for students, families, and staff to engage with partners from the area about options and supports available to our students outside of our system. Many thanks for all who organized, attended, and shared resources!
