Next week October 25-29 will be a dead week in the weight room. There will be no morning or after school lifting for out of season athletes and no Bobcat Time lifting for in-season athletes. We will start the winter session the week of November 1st.
Dance Team Apparel has arrived and is ready to be picked up in the Activities Office.
Regional Volleyball Game: Our own Benton Bobcats will be hosting Grinnell TONIGHT for the first round of regional play. Let’s fill the

8th grade girls' basketball starts today in Atkins. Please ride the bus to Atkins Elementary after school. Practice will be until 5:30 and the shuttle will bring you back to Van Horne if you need to. We would love to have you out...come give it a try!

Benton closes the district season this Friday, Oct. 22, when they host DeWitt Central (5-2).
Picture Retakes are next Friday, October 22 for grades 7-12. If you missed the first time for pictures, please plan on getting your picture taken. If you had them taken the first time but are getting them retaken, make sure that you return the picture package that you received.
WaMaC tourney in Shellsburg Bobcats lost to West Delaware in their first match. Cats won against Vinton-Shellsburg in their second match.

Spanish Club will be hosting movie night Friday, Oct. 22nd in the IMC. We will be watching Coco. Movie starts during Bobcat Time and will end by 4:30pm. It is available to any student enrolled in Spanish first or second semester. 9th-10th grade please sign up during Bobcat Time. 11th-12th see either Mr. Malac or Mr. Liddle to sign up. Popcorn, candy, and drinks will be provided free of charge!
Benton Art Club and FCCLA will once again be hosting a Blood Drive with Impact Life (Formerly the Mississippi Regional Blood Center) here at the High School. The Drive will be held Thursday November 4th, from 8:30-1:30 in the IMC. In order to donate, you must be at least 16 years of age, by the date of the Drive, and weigh at least 110 lbs. Also, every Benton student needs a signed parent permission form, in order to donate. Art Club and FCCLA members will be signing people up during Lunch over the next couple weeks. If you have any questions see Mr. Patterson, Mrs. Fribley or talk to an Art Club or FCCLA member.

MS Wrestling: there will be a MS wrestling meeting TODAY during Bobcat time. The meeting will be in Room 126, down in the shop.
