Attention Spanish Club Members
:  Please join us for our Singles Ping Pong Tourney on Thursday evening in the gym at 6:15.  Whether you're a beginner or an ace, come join us for an evening of fun and friendship!  Sign up in one of the Spanish rooms to play or just come and watch.  Hope to see you there!

HS Girls Locker Room: All female winter athletes who are not playing soccer or running track this spring need to have their lockers cleaned out by the end of the day on Thursday, February 23. Any questions see Coach Thomae.

HS Wrestlers not out for a spring sport your lockers have been cleaned out and you can pick up your things in the coaches office in the locker room.

HS Girls Soccer: There will be a girls soccer meeting this Friday at 2:50 in the ICN room.

8th grade boys interested in going out for Level 3 (freshmen) Baseball this year need to attend a meeting in Mr. Svare's room after 4th Hour on Friday. 

FFA Trivia Question: In what year was the Benton Community FFA Chapter chartered? Put your answer in the coffee can in the office. A winner will be drawn at Bobcat Time.

ALL STUDENTS:  In honor of National FFA Week the FFA is putting on dress up days to show off your school spirit! 
THURSDAY: America Day
FRIDAY: Flannel Friday AND Hat Day - To be eligible to wear your hat for the day, you must pay $1 to get a sticker from Mrs. Wright in the student center in the morning.  All proceeds are going to purchase additional products to donate to Atkins Helping Hands.

February's PBIS focus is Caring
: Thank you for the help you provide in our communities. We appreciate the stories that we hear about our students doing great things in their hometowns. Keep up the good work caring for our hometowns and all of the people who represent our Bobcat Nation!

HS Boys Soccer: There will be a parents meeting for Boys Soccer Wednesday, March 1st at 5:30 in Coach Stockman's room (113). We will go over information for the season and the first week of practice which is over spring break. If you cannot attend, please contact Coach Stockman at wstockman@benton.k12.ia.us

MS Students: Track photos need to be taken for the Middle School yearbook. The girls track picture will be taken on Wednesday, February 22 at Bobcat Time in the gym. The boys photo will be taken on Thursday, February 23 in the gym during Bobcat Time. Please go directly to the gym after 8th period so that there is enough time for the photo.

2017-2018 Cheerleading Tryouts
- Cheerleading tryout practices will be Monday, February 27, and Tuesday, February 28 from 3:30-5:45 in the IMC. Tryouts will be held on Thursday, March 2 and Friday, March 3 starting at 3:30. Please fill out a tryout form that can be found in the office. Please contact Bridget McWhorter at bmcwhorter@benton.k12.ia.us with any questions that you might have.

HS Wrestling Banquet: The HS wrestling banquet will be held on February 28 at 6:30.

Sophomores and Juniors: Please check your email. You have an email from Mrs. Nesbitt about Summer/Fall Internships. Internships are a great way to experience your potential career field.  Applications are due March 24th. If you have any further questions stop in or email Mrs. Nesbitt.

ALL STUDENTS: Also in honor of National FFA Week the Benton FFA Chapter is having their 9th annual food drive and need your help!  We ask that you bring canned food items and/or paper products to your bobcat time Tuesday – Friday of next week.  The winning bobcat times for high school and middle school will receive ice cream sundaes!  All items are going to Atkins Helping Hands food bank.  Winning bobcat times must have at least 30 items to be eligible to win. (If your seminar/homeroom has the most items you win, however if you don't meet the 30 item minimum you just get the title of "winner" but don't get the prize!
